"How Smart Economics Can Save the World"

Gernot Wagner recently featured in a 30 minute podcast interview.

Interviewer: "One person eating less meat, or deciding to get a Prius instead of an SUV, or bring a reusable bag to the grocery store -- but if everyone did it, wouldn't that make a difference?"

Wagner: "Kind of. The problem there is ... you need to scale that up. The question is how do you do that? How do you get a Billion people to recycle? That's the first question. And then, even if you did get a Billion people to recycle -- would it make a difference? The surprising answer in many ways is No. Not even that would be enough."

Gernot is promoting his new book, "But Will the Planet Notice."
